International Conference for Young Quantum Information Scientists (YQIS) and

Summer School of the Vienna Doctoral Program on Complex Quantum Systems (CoQuS)

17 - 21 September 2018

Faculty of Physics, University of Vienna (Austria)

Registration opening: 16 May

Registration end: 15 July - registration is now closed.

The joint YQIS conference and CoQuS Summer School is organised by and for early stage researchers.

The purpose of this year’s special combination of the 4th edition of the YQIS Conference and the 11th edition of the CoQuS Summer School is twofold. Firstly, we offer introductory lectures by leading researchers in theoretical and experimental quantum physics to an audience of local and international master and PhD students as well as postdocs. Additionally, this gathering facilitates stimulating discussions between the students and visiting researchers based on scientific oral and poster presentations by the early stage researchers and the invited speakers.

For this 2018 edition, we would like to address the following topics:

  • Quantum Foundations
  • Technologies for Quantum Information Processing
  • Quantum Simulation and Computation
  • Quantum Thermodynamics and Open Systems
  • Quantum Communication and Cryptography
